2021 Kia Sorento: What We Know So Far

At KIA of LaGrange in LaGrange, GA, we expect to have the 2021 KIA Sorento soon when it releases. If you are a resident of LaGrange, Hogansville, Machester, or Columbus and interested in pre-booking the 2021 KIA Sorento, we promise to offer great bargains on early bookings. Details for the updated KIA Sorento model have been released to the public. Here is what can be expected from the all-new KIA Sorento.

An All-New Engine with a Mild Hybrid Powertrain

Yes, you heard that right. The 2021 has overhauled its specification under the hood besides effectively making changes to its exterior aesthetics. You can expect the KIA Sorento update to come installed with a 1.6l 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

The engine will be paired with a 44.2 kW electric motor to be powered by a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack. A six-speed automatic transmission will distribute power over all wheels of the 2021 KIA Sorento, and the vehicle will manage up to 225 bhp and 350Nm torque-speed at its peak.

What Else is New?

The mid-sized crossover SUV from KIA looked more like a minivan before. The all-new model expresses a much squarer silhouette in comparison, with bold and assertive changes to its exterior face too. Not just the styling, but even the interiors of the 2021 KIA Sorento are expected to be an improvement in terms of space and smoother tech interfaces powering the infotainment system.

The cargo space offered should be roomier on the updated SUV model. You can expect all new standard safety features such as ABS, Lane Keeping Assist and Smart Cruise Control on KIA’s 2021 version of Sorento too.

What More Can Be Expected?

As far as infotainment goes, the best of KIA cars are equipped with a 10.3 in touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as standard features. So, perhaps the same will be made available in the 2021 KIA Sorento.

Upgrades might include HK surround sound speakers that you can add to your vehicle for an extra price. It would also be safe to predict that the KIA Sorento 2021 version will also accommodate plenty of charging points and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The IIHS is yet to crash-test the all-new KIA Sorento, but we assume the car will be safe, comfortable, and a sheer pleasure to drive when it does enter the market for sale.
