Kia is all set to launch the much-awaited Kia EV6 in 2022, and we couldn’t be more excited. The 2022 EV6 will mark the beginning of Kia’s long-term strategy for its fully electric vehicles, according to which it plans to build 11 EVs by 2026. 

Here are all the details we know about this exciting EV:

Driving range and Charging Details

The 2022 Kia EV6 is expected to set new market standards for driving range and charging capabilities. The Nissan EV6 will be offered in two battery sizes, 58.0-kWh and 77.4-kWh. Nissan claims that the new EV6 will offer a maximum driving range of about 300 miles (482.8 km) on a single charge with the 77.4-kWh pack. The company also promises that the battery on the Kia EV6 will charge from 10 to 80 percent in less than 18 minutes. But, this would require a 350-kWh fast charger and 800 volts supply. If this comes true, you will be able to add close to 70 miles (112.65 km) to the driving range in less than five minutes! 

The standard 11-kW charges will fully charge the battery in about 7 to 8 hours when connected with a Level 2 outlet. 

Trim levels and Pricing

While we have a decent idea about the trim levels in the upcoming lineup, Kia has not said much about the pricing. However, you can expect a base price of somewhere close to $45,000 – $48,000. 

While you will be able to choose the battery pack you want to pair with the rear-wheel-drive models, all-wheel-drive capability can only be paired with the long-range battery package. Since there has been no certainty about the price, we can not recommend a particular trim. But, we do recommend waiting till the next year if you want to invest in an electric vehicle.
